A Great Lesson

Life is like a school in my teens

When I stole my way to go fishing in a stream

Off I sent my fishing line into water

With the line in my hand and the sinker on water.

Pull! Pull!! I heard my colleagues shouting

When I turned to see my sinker, lo it was sinking

What a great catch! As I pulled the line,

Then on my mind I thought of this fish to dine.

Break its head! I heard someone saying

But excitement made me half-deaf ‘ven straying

Until the fish slipped back into the water

Then regained I my mind that was altered.

A lesson later learnt I from this,

When the Master sends you soul fishing of His,

Make sure you hear the instructions to the latter

Or else excitement will make you scatter

All the souls when fishing you’ve gathered.
