Man charged for hitting woman with truck; shots fired in fight
Monday, February 25, 2008
A man was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly hit a woman with his truck at a Dyersburg restaurant and later reportedly shooting a handgun at people in Unionville who had come to fight him over the incident.

The Dyersburg Police Department lodged Bradley Dewayne Clark, 18, 163 Key Corner Rd., Halls, into the Dyer County Jail on a reckless endangerment charge and a $500 bond.

According to the Dyer County Sheriff's Department, a Unionville man called at 3:40 p.m. alerting authorities that Clark and another male subject were fighting. The caller said when the fight was over Clark went to his truck, retrieved a pistol and shot "around in the air then started shooting at the other male."

The initial incident started in Dyersburg at Cruizer's restaurant, 2495 Lake Rd., where Clark was alleged to have used his truck to drag a woman several feet across the parking lot. The woman was transported to Dyersburg Regional Medical Center with injuries, said deputies.

A family member of the woman found Clark in Unionville and beat him up, said the report.

At 4:14 p.m., a deputy found Clark's vehicle on Keeno Pond Road. Clark was transported to the Dyer County Law Enforcement Center, from where the DPD took him into custody.

Actually the quote is "don't throw stones if you live IN a glass house". Now if your driving down the backroads and you notice that some other idiot built a glass house your welcome to park, get out and commence to stone chunking AT the house. Man that was a lot of work for a joke that probably flew about 1/2 a mile over the target's head lmao.

So I'll go with tennessee9 and say grow up white trash. It's time to return that overdue rental of "The Dukes of Hazzard" back to the video store.

This paper is notoriously WRONG in their facts. I can't even count on both hands and feet how many times they have printed completely false information. They definitely do not have respectable reporters nor do they even make an attempt at printing the FACTS. I do not know this family but empathize and definitely believe nothing this paper prints unless I can verify the facts first hand.

Tennessee9 was only commenting on what the article reported. racermom and michelle21 need to calm down. This forum is for opinions and you both need to accept the fact that eveyone has one. You in fact have judged this reader, while accusing him/her of being judgmental. I agree with tennessee9, this whole incident stinks of jerry springer material. Hopefully all parties involved will grow up soon.

I don't know the young man in question myself but I do agree 100%. If you do not know the WHOLE story you shoulden't say mean and hurtful things like that. In my eyes no one should judge anyone, but to me that comment about "white trash" was very childish and is not olny disrespectful but olny adding wood to the fire in my eyes. And lastly, the "grow up" part of that comment ...Maby you should take your own advice..

To tennessee9, dont thow stones at a glass house. Also, what about not judging others. The report in the paper is not all the facts, so until you know all the facts, you shouldn't judge others. Just want to fill you in on a few of the facts, the rest is none of anyone's business. He was not arrested for firing a gun. The paper did not disclose that he was trying to leave the area to keep things from esclating. The victim attacked him and his passenger while they were trying to drive away and her getting hurt was accidental and not intentional (which he feels very bad about). But people that make snide comments just keep situations like this going. Also, the victim was repeatedly striking him while he was trying to leave. This has been stated by the report. He never laid a hand on her which also can be verified. Also he was lured to the resturant with the intention of making amends with one individual and that individual had planned another attack with the help of several friends (5-6). These same boys had already attacked him while he was alone earlier and again after the incident happened so not just one person assaulted him as the paper read but 5-6 boys had attacked him twice. There are other issues that will not be discussed but you need 2 find out the facts before making comments. And I am sure you would never want this to happen to your family member as well as I wish it on no one, but no one is perfect unless you are GOD. Are you saying you or your family members are perfect? Kids make mistakes and they learn from them as I am sure he has learned from this one. So if you have nothing better to say it is best not to say anything. Again don't judge him or anyone else, especially without knowing all the facts. And you never know there maybe a time when you will be judged without all the facts and you will know how hurtful comments can be. And by the way he is not white trash, and anyone that knows him, will tell you he has a big heart and forgives and forgets easily. He is an individual that has helped others at any cost and would give others the shirt off his back if they needed it. So you must not know him at all or that comment would not of been made, because if you were a friend you would know how truly a good hearted person he is. If you need other information so you can judge him, letters can be provided showing some of the remarkable things he has done and accomplished in his life.
