Speed Racer: The Next Generation won't return

Just a note to those who may have first seen this series as of recent; it was canceled in summer of 2009 and will not be back. None of the TV remakes could ever touch the original 1967 series. The 1997 Tatsuonoko production retained some of the look, but was updated. The only creditable TV remake that was made.

Acctualy, Nicktoons Network repremeired the show. They made a second season and it was aired on March 24, 2011. New episodes come on every Thursday night on Nicktoons now; so you should watch it sometime, its pretty good.

Glad to hear it for those who have discovered the program. Today, it's all remakes of classics. I prefer to stick with the original. I grew up in the 70's. Without Tatsunoko and Peter Fernandez and there would be no Speed Racer. Today's young kids were not around back then.
