Mia, thanks for such a detailed and thoughtful response.

Your parenting sounds great and I bet your adult daughter is a fine young woman.

The kid-in-traffic thing is about the best justification for spanking I can think of. You want the child to associate going in the street alone with surprise, even a bit of fear. A swat on the clothed bottom, especially if a one-time occurrence seems about right.

I'm sure it was confusing to feel humiliation and arousal together at age 10. You're probably not sure what sexual feelings are all about, and here you're associating them with pain and humiliation. It's great you converted them to something good and fun.

I think it's a great fetish and I wouldn't trade it.

As an example of kids' not really understanding their own sexuality, I offer this snippet from my own early development. My friend and I were giving each other anatomy lessons:

Sandy: “Oh, it’s all big and stiff.”
She looked at it as I attempted to explain my erection. “Yeah," I said. "It’s not usually like that, it gets bigger when I think about girls. I’ll show it to you when it’s soft later.”
