The Joliet Jackhammers of the Northern League have traded former Cheetah and FL batting champ Pichi Balet to the Sioux Falls Explorers, also of the Northern League. Balet was one of five players including former River City Rascals pitcher Adam Shafer that the Jackhammers gave up in exchange for infielder Pete Rose Jr.

Debbie,

Wow! I know Joliet had Cameron at 3B and had already traded Brian Fuess, I had no idea Pichi was going anywhere. I hope he has success there.

Chuck

Pichi was traded to the team in Sioux City, IA, not the team in Sioux Falls, SD. There are Northern League teams in both cities, but Pichi is with the Explorers not the Canaries. Hope he does as well in Iowa as he did in Cook County.
