Dear Contestant,

Miss Texas is paid to make appearances adn to perform.
Her travel is free to out of state events and to Miss America. Sponsors supply your wardrobe. You get a good salary because there are hundreds of scheduled appearances that people pay you for. Plus a car and an apartment for a year. You have a business Manager, dentist, doctors, lawyers etc who help you free. I know a former Miss Texas who was quite a few years ago. She just used her Miss Texas money to buy her new home; downpayment and etc. She had saved part of her yearnings and they were in cds. She's not the only Miss Texas who has bought a car, condo or new house or paid off bills. Plus you win enough scholarship money to finish paying for school.
