Oh yes, Tanya. we both had our hair done last saturday and he got the cutest little short bob. He didn't realize he was getting a real girls hairstyle and couldn't believe the mirror. Sherri, his stylist also showed him how he would look with just the right touches of light makeup and some awsome looking lashes with her choice of mascara. I had him wearing some girls jeans a black sweater and black girls Keds. Everybody commented on how adorable a girl he makes. We didn't need to add any blusher to his face after all. :)
We went out to lunch at Mickey Dees as mom and daughter. THEN we went to "Tarjay" to do a little bit of shopping where we looked at everything girl, I talked him into trying this really sweet light blue and white lace trim party dress so he could see how he would look. We were both wow'd for sure. Needlesss to say, it got bought, along with some flowered briefs and a beginner bra. Then over to DSW where I convinced him that a pair of shiny black mary janes would really set off the look. I let him pick his own style and he decided on a pair with kitten heels. My child actually has some real fashion sense after all! Now those along with a cute small shoulder bag finished it off. NOW he sees what I've been sort of telling him and after we did a practice dress-up at home, videoed it and he could really see how he looks, all of a sudden I could see the confidence start to blossom. We went out to dinner at Red Lobster and he was so totally surprised how everyone we came into contact with , you know servers and other staff commented on how a sweet mother daughter team we were. Sunday we also went out and picked up some more pant ant top outfits to sort of round out this new wardrobe. He looks so cute that I'm beginning to think he might even be able to compete with girls in their own pageant. I'm just not sure I really know how to be a pageant mom yet though. Anyway, we'll see how this goes.
Bren
