Hi, Brigitte. The only family I have near here is my mom and a girl cousin. Neither of them has ever seemed to be surprised in that my child has always been rather "too pretty to be a boy", anyway.

We go out quite often just to do our regular shopping, eating out , movies etc. Chris goes more "girl unisex" for these normal outings, but when we do some real girl time we go up to a much larger town an hour away where it's definitely mother and daughter. Now for the spring/Easter break, for her at least, I encouraged her to wear only skirts and dresses the whole time. For Easter Sunday, we wore our new spring dresses, hair, heels, and attitude to my mom's church and dinner afterwards. Chris was so totally girl there that even I was impressed. Nobody ever suspected otherwise, and even Mom was impressed. We even had matching hairdo's to top it all off. ( pls. excuse the pun, not really intended.)

Still, she has to go to school as more or less a boy, but I have the school having her use the nurses washroom so nothing goes wrong in the boys lav, if you know what I mean. I know he/she is obviously very feminine, and although I thrilled, I also need to be really cautious with the school environment especially. Chris has a couple of girlfriends who are sort of a little clique and that's been really nice to see. They thankfully are totally encouraging. I love them too.

Leanne
