Hi Grace: It is interesting that Skyler chose to dress as a princess for Halloween, rather than as a witch, schoolmarm, or celebrity. He seems to have a highly developed sensory curiosity, a desire to experience different sensations and view the world from his own, unique perspective.

Girls his age have begun to develop their own personal styles, and perhaps with your support, Skyler can do the same.

I would like to recommend two resources.

First, lolitadresshop.com. This is a retailer that specializes in the super cute, ultrafeminine dresses that are popular with girls his age, especially in Japan. If he is interested in the "brolita" image, this could be a great way for him to establish his own identity and have a ton of fun in the process. He will have a lot of company.

Second, thesissystore.com. This is a costume store that offers a wide variety of merchandise, ranging from the purely whimsical to beautiful, elaborate special occasion wear. The neat thing is that they ask the gender of the wearer as part of the checkout process, so you can easily, inexpensively, and privately buy a custom-tailored dress that your son will love, made to fit his measurements, without hassle or embarrassment. My personal favorite is the Alice in Wonderland dress.

Thanks for posting and make sure to have fun.
