I'm sure that some unenlightened parents are forcing or coercing their child to do what they want, but you MUST do what's best for the child. My little one tried various aspects of cd/tg life and settled on what was best for him. My mother and I raised him ourselves after his father was killed in Vietnam so he obviously had great feminine influence, but we never forced him into anything. When he was younger, he would watch old movies with my mother while I was at work and remark how he'd like to wear the dresses and furs that the glamour gals wore when he got older. We were happy to make that happen for him! It was so much fun watching him develop from Halloween Girl to part-time daughter to younger sister over the years! My mother seemed to enjoy it just as much as I did, and got him hooked on vintage dresses, sweaters and skirts. Things really took off when I showed him how to use a curling iron and apply makeup when he was 14, then took him shopping for Laura Ashley dresses shortly after. He's almost 50 now and still beautiful with a huge wardrobe to play with.
