Hi Franchesca!

I just wanted to add, as a general point, that many new girls are still attracted to girls. Because gender identity and sexual orientation are not closely related, the post-transition sexual orientation usually does not change. So if the 'former boy' was attracted to girls, the new girl will probably still be attracted to girls. If the 'former boy' was attracted to boys, then the new girl will most likely still be attracted to boys.

There are some cases in which the sexual orientation does change post-transition; but this is more the exception than the rule.

There is another possible factor, which has not yet been well researched: It seems that the younger the transition to new girl, the more likely it may be that the new girl will be attracted to boys--i.e. become a heterosexual female, rather than a lesbian female.
