I think it would be a wonderful growth experience (and a lot of fun) if the 10 and 11 year old girls got the 9 year old boy in a dress. The girls would find the experience empowering, and the boy would love the sensation. They could give him the support and freedom to "step out of character" a bit, and he might find the experience liberating. I had a vaguely similar experience when I was about 11 that I very fondly recall.

I'm sorry that your brother and older nephew chose a holiday occasion to demonstrate intolerance. Hopefully, the ladies in the house will set matters straight, and rightfully so.

Keep up the good work and best wishes for the holiday season.

Child abuse and immoral activity? Teaching a kid to be judgmental, and even allowing him to use a word like "fag" at a family function, is abusive and immoral. Hopefully his mother washed his mouth out with soap when they got home.
