Hi Allison, I would love to help out if possible. Nancy brought your thread to my attention a couple of weeks ago, but I just got back on to check. My 12-year-old daughter Katelyn was born a boy, but he always liked feminine things and would wear girls costumes for Halloween. One year he was a pageant girl in a gown, heels, makeup and hair. She was a bride last year, which was a fabulous opportunity to try different hairstyles -- we went with a half-and-half style -- pulled up on the sides and left long in back, it was down around her shoulders at the time. I wish I had known sooner that he might be interested in doing a pageant, but we have been looking into it. I'd love to discuss your son competing in pageants, his hair or anything you would feel comfortable with. You could even email me if you'd like.
