Alexis, Hi! it looks like you are having some nice success with your child at this time. I'm sure you may not like this idea, but I hope that you really monitor this push back that you've experienced. You say that he was what you call rough and tumble a few months ago, and even now you are seeing some rebellion. From some of the things I've seen and also just heard of, this is not that abnormal in a boy child that's not really basically feminine. I think you said he's 5 now, but what might happen when he gets to 7 or 8? I'm not really convinced that you, me, or anybody else can change any child's basic gender identity if they won't accept it. I truely wish you all the luck in the world, but I also pray that if this ends up getting rejected in the long run that you will be able to work with it constructively. Now my child is and has always been like a little girl, but I still know that this whole thing could change on me over one summer or something like that. Would I be disapointed? Oh, you bet! Could I live with it? Yes, because I would have to, but still love my child forever.
Careingly,
Becca
