Aelita: When Liz told us, she was a girl instead of a boy, we decided to support her. I knew when I was growing up, I had friends who were gay and gender fluid. One of my best friends' brother killed himself (when he was 17, I was 14) because he was gay.
I don't want Liz to kill herself, so that is why we are supporting her. Liz is happier as a girl, so I'm glad she told us.
Aelita, sorry about your parents. It was a different time in the late 80's/early 90's then today. Who knows, maybe 20 years from now, Liz can be pregnant with her own child. (Liz and Megan are talking about boys who are brothers of friends of theirs.)
