Absolutely nothing wrong with children of either gender getting a chance to experience what it's like to switch. Honestly, I think it helps them to respect the other gender better when they get to see firsthand both the benefits and downsides that come with each one.

Were the dresses you got for Nick and Austin just for Halloween, or were you planning some chances for them to wear them at other times? If your children are open to it, you might want to have times where they all dress as girls or all as boys, so both sides can see what it's like (and you can get some great family photos). Careful, though, they may come to like it (LOL)!
