Dear fellows,

What I suppose to talk about genre resumes in expressing the importance in presenting its characteristics in a already constructed material than in talking about its characteristics. What I mean is we need to give to students the real product instead of writing on the whiteboard and talk its own characteristic. As an example, I prefer giving to students a piece of paper in which contains some recipes and the own students express about how recipes are structured. What I suggest in students formulate by they own the characteristics. They are able to discover, for instance, that in recipes, the verbs are normally in imperative form.
After that, teachers should invite students to create a new recipe about how to make a dish or something like that.

Once again, I would like to cite about the importance in working with genre in a contextualized way. Students will be much more motivate in doing this!
What do you think?
Let me know...

Sincerely,

Gustavo
