Subject: Solomon Meyer Splits with Assemblies of Yahweh

Solomon Meyer has split with Assemblies of Yahweh and started his own organazation. It seems that there was a power struggle between the Meyers and Gary McAvin. Many members of the Assemblies of Yahweh have left Bethel because of the McAvin problem. Solomon Meyer calles his group "Yahweh's Obedient Servants Ministry" Below is part of a letter Solomon wrote about the power struggle at Bethel.

To My Brethren,
The most recent conversations between us as the administrative committee have been very troubling for
me. I have been given great pause as I have considered the rashly-spoken words and the fact that this
situation between us has been allowed to remain unsettled. In my opinion we can proceed no further
until this issue is resolved because the disharmony among us is affecting the Assembly in general and I
fear we will bear the burden of Yahweh’s wrath if we are at fault for causing the brotherhood to be
weakened through our actions. From the very weeks following Elder Meyer’s death there has been an
undercurrent of political maneuvering coming from the direction of Gary McAvin in what is
obviously an effort to install Nathaniel as the Directing Elder. Beginning with his open declaration of this
intent in July of 2010, he has attempted to manipulate a number of situations in order to further this
agenda. Gary McAvins declaration that a legal challenge to the current structure in our meeting of
November 20 should be taken seriously as undoubtedly he knows from where that challenge is coming.
November 20 was the first time I had the opportunity to acquire a copy of the bylaws of the Assemblies of
Yahweh organization. I regret not having obtained a copy previously because the bylaws, if properly
interpreted, when combined with the Assemblies of Yahweh Statement of Doctrine, Elder Meyer’s
Biblical Ecclesiatical Assembly Administration book and Elder Meyer’s Spiritual Will answer this issue
without doubt. What has happened since the time the Will was found and read has been a series of errors.
We failed to do as we have been taught and to harmonize all of these writings and reach a deductive
solution. This has opened up the door to those who have political aspirations to use inductive reasoning
and truly proof-text their positions. After a careful reading of these relevant documents I present the
following as my findings:........

It seems easy to solve this problem with the Gary McAvin faction. Simply kick him out of the organization, just as the scriptures tell you to do. After all he was charged in a court of law for molesting his own daughter, so what is the problem? Sodomizing children should not be tolerated. It is obvious that this man is a low functioning psychopath and therefore genetically defective. Under Moses these type of individual were taken to the gate of the city and stoned before they reached maturity so that they couldn't spread their bad genetic material around, thus ending the contaminated genetic line. See Deuteronomy 21 He has a long history of rebellion including jail time in NM.
Oh by the way there is no such office as “directing elder” in the Bible, but there is such a thing as president of the board under Pennsylvania law and upon the death of the president of the board the vice-president becomes president and all that Johnathan needs to do is boot him out, so polish your black leather boots and get them ready to kick some pervert a-s. If you don't have a pair of black leather boots, just check daddy's old closet. McAvin's posturing is typical of a low functioning psychopath. Learn how to deal with low lives or they will walk all over you.

It is amazing how a nut case like McAvin can split families. Of course, Nathaniel is his son-in-law. Didn't McAvin pleaad guilty to corruption of minors in an incident involving his youngest daughter? McAvin has an uncontrollable temper and is known for often threatening other members with physical violence. But he is just one of several "henchmen" attempting to control members through fear, threats and verbal back biting. Another villan is Jeffrey Dolph. Then there's also Ray Shaparenko, and Don Mick (the latter lving in Akron, OH) and others. Since Johnathan Meyer is older than "Nate" and has been an "Elder" longer, why isn't he in charge? It has often been said "There is no love at Bethel." True, there is no love, no mercy. no compassion, no concern for others, no respect for individuals. But there is plenty of "political" manuvering, and an abundance of the old guard dictatorial attitude. My oh my! What would Yahshua say? Happy you had the courage to make the decision you did, Solomon. YHWH bless you.
