Subject: Truth About the Loyalty "Vow"

Don’t give up on Yahweh, give up on the human-created organizations that want to put Yahweh in a cage and control who gets salvation. They want the power, but not for the right reasons.

I too at first thought that by leaving the physical organization, called The Assemblies of Yahweh at Bethel, I was going against a vow I had taken. Upon closer inspection of the actual Baptismal Vow there was no such loyalty clause.

The document containing the Baptismal Vows had two sides. On one side there was "Instruction In Covenant Commitment". Four points of instruction by Elder Meyer educating prospective members on HIS desire for members (not Yahweh’s criteria). The instruction he gave, that is at the core of this conversation, was Point #3:

“Your loyalty is now to the Assemblies of Yahweh as the only true body of Messiah. You must be willing to function within that body.” (Eph. 4:1-7, Exo. 13:18, Num. 10:3 and John 15:4 were presented in support of Elder Meyer’s belief that his organization was the one true body.)

I was horrified when I read John 15:4 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it remain in the vine; so neither can you, except you remain in me.”

This passage was being used to bully members into believing that if they left the organization they would lose all hope of salvation, shrivel up and die. It was also being used to place the AOY organization at the same level as the Messiah, who really is the true vine. John 15:1. Yahshua the Messiah is speaking: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.”

The AOY wants everyone to believe IT is the true vine. How can the AOY be the true vine if the Messiah is the true vine? It can’t. Satan would love to have people replace Yahshua with an organization, and many people do that with their own religious affiliations. If your organization has become your idol and membership your goal, you have lost sight of the truth.

I don’t understand how a member of the AOY can say there are no other groups on earth keeping all the commandments of Yahweh, when the AOY frowned upon anyone contacting any other group or reading literature other than what Elder Meyer published. Elder Meyer preached much truth, but he was human and there were flaws.

Since pretty much the beginning, the AOY has stated it is the only group keeping all the commandments of Yahweh. How do they know? There is no way you can prove that. They don’t take into account that we all grow in faith and righteousness. The group or individual can change as they learn and grow. So how do they know the level of understanding of all the groups in the world? They don’t, Elder Meyer declared it, so it must be true.

Noble Bereans inspect the teaching to make certain it conforms with the scriptures. We all need to do this.

If you believe being a member of the AOY in Bethel is all you need to be saved, then by all means continue. If you believe Yahweh isn’t able to communicate to the world without a shortwave radio then by all means continue. But, if you ever want to know what the Word of Yahweh is doing today, you’re going to have to stick your head outside of the bunker.

They are still saying the unpardonable sin is leaving the organization. They don't understand that the Body of the Messiah is not something mankind can determine or create. It is more and greater than anyone can restrain.

If I repent of the sin of leaving the organization, they'll take me back.

Why would I want to go back, when I see the hand of Yahweh moving forward in so many ways, with so many people? The Body is many parts. The talents are many. To think you are the only part of a plan as big as Yahweh's is foolishness.

What if leaving the "organization" was in fact Yahweh's will and you failed to read the memo. Maybe you would rather worship the organization, it's history, your relationships within it, and it's leaders, rather than worship Yahweh.

There's a reason they don't want you to talk to those who left. I love you, I miss you, but my first love is Yahweh and Yahweh is not a man-made organization. Yahshua didn't form an organization. He came to dismantle one.

The teachings were helpful. But, the constant reference to himself, J.O.M., or to what he disliked in others, using the poteum on Sabbath in order to speak of the human nature and taking away from or lengthening Biblical teachings became redundantly boreing.

All that you speak of regarding A.O.Y., Bethel, PA. Is True and well expressed, addition of supporting Biblical reference, well done.

After 12 years of faithfully following via tape ministry and The Sacred Name Broadcaster, my daughter and I were cleverly dumped on the wayside and ceased to receive communications or responses of what caused the silence from A.O.Y. offices. It left my daughter and me floundering a bit to keep a Biblical connected Sabbath. At the time there were no such ministries in our local and later what did come along turned out to have disbanded for questionable reasons.

Not wishing to burden anyone with my life story I found it inappropriate to force a person to be re-baptized just to join A.O.Y., or ministry, as if one has lost their faith in God and being baptized over and over as we continue to grow in The Word, is the answer to being a sincere believer. Not to mention my personal situations were not of such that many people cared to be friends. In my life my walk with The Lord was so hindered from the beginning, that what A.O.Y. offices did just added more hurt to struggle thru. It may be inappropriate to mention here, but one vindictive and well liked person in a big Church of God church had a few choice but rash words from her heart and mouth that caused my walk with the Lord to suffer much tribulation since 1982. I am now 67 and she still lies to me even when I try to forgive and see her as a believer who just did not know what she was doing to my fellowship in any assembly or church. It is a sin when believers do more harm to one another than a wayward believer ever received from non-believers. The ministries these days are full of deceit, seekers of signs because of their unbelieve and all forms of doctrinal misconstruing and disseminating of false doctrine. Confusion abounds in the churches and as many who come longing for a true love relationship with The Lord, as many are forced out of the worldly bound ministries, I guess, better off than remaining under false doctrines.

The office personnel of A.O.Y. chose to send specific tapes for Sabbath which could have influenced a weaker person to fall in apostasy or even suicide out of lack of fellowship or an injured relationship with Yahweh/Yashuah. What I call the subliminal suggestions, were all thru those tapes we received the two months before A.O.Y. ceased to communicate with us any further.

For that I know the office personal who cleverly arranged what tapes to send to us the last month or two before cutting us off without explanation, will be cause for judgment of them from Yahweh.

I can explain no further. But, admit many in this forum have been victims of A.O.Y in Bethel, PA. And we are true victims, my daughter and me.

Let me assure you, I never gave up or changed in believing the way I do, which came BEFORE, the A.O.Y. to be true at least two or three of my lengthy and well researched and documented studies, I passed on to the offices of Jacob Meyers, one one he thanked me for but two others he personally credited, almost word for word, as published in the Sacred Name Broadcaster magazine or as noted on the calendar two years after writing to him regarding The Feast of Dedication. I don't care about my studies he used, it was a true low blow the offices deal me in riding slander of anything in my life and not able to understand I was living with great difficulties in my life that A.O.Y. was not equipped to reasonably minister to me in how I should respond as a sincere believer.

KEEPING THE FAITH ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES AND THE TRUE RUACH haKODESH, every day of my life. Helping my maturing daughter stay focused after her disappointment in A.O.Y. lead to the enemy of our soul finding ways to deceive her for a short time.

Praying anyone who suffered in any way due to any form of wrong doing because of following the A.O.Y. ministry, that those persons remain faithful to Yahweh/Hashish and receive healing in what area of their lives such is needed.

Thank you for caring and sharing.

Rachel M.L. from Baltimore and resided in several states during the 12 years with A.O.Y., Bethel, PA.
