Subject: Chris and Dusty Sundrop

Chris mounted the new gelding Dusty Sundrop and went to the riding ring where he would meet Lucky. "Hey, OK Chris I want you to do some basic jumping before you go out on the trails. First take Dusty around the ring and then take him around the course 3 times then you can go. OK?" I said. "OK, mom" Said Chris. He walked Dusty for a few steps then they went into a trot and finally a canter. After riding around twice He moved to the first jump that was 4 feet high. He cleared easily and then a higher run was ahead 4 and a half. Finally he was done with the jumping and went to the trails. Cara was working on dressage with Autumn Glow with Lucky in the riding ring. Soon he was on the trails. He stayed on the main trail but then went on to another one that led to a cross country course with 3-4 and a half foot jumps. He moved Dusty into a fast canter, almost a gallop. Dusty bounded forward and cleared the first jump. He hurtled over another one. They surged along eventually galloping. Finally the water jump, Chris tightened the reins since Dusty may not like the water that much but they went over and came out without a single snort. After finishing the course, they went back to the stable. chris was going to practice some intermediate jumping on Impressive Guy. Once he got there he untacked Sundrop, polished the saddle just to get it done with, and put it all away. Chris then brushed Dusty down and put him in his stall at the new barn. He decided to take Impressive Guy out later tonight to the Intermediate Cross County Course, his mom could give him a lesson, for now he was going to tack up Magic and he might meet tessa on the trails.
