Subject: Some more of Joey & Justin @ the stable...

Finally the 5 year old managed to clean it and he went to wash up while Jennifer evened it up. Then she handed him a grooming box and said, "Now THIS part is fun. I'll be in the indoor arena, don't disturb mommy, I'm teaching a private lesson." She gave her son & Justin a brief smile before striding away. Joey took the plastic hoof pick and went to Sunburst's leg. The expirenced pony lifted his hoove and stood very still while the little boy cleaned all 4 of them. Justin stood on the mounting block and combed Sunny's hair, a little roughly but the pony didn't flinch. Joey curried the thick winter coat off and then stroked the coat with a body brush. "Oops," he said as he brushed the hair the wrong way. He then cautiously grabbed the gelding's tail and picked out the straw. "He's ready!" Joey announced proudly. They put the stuff away and then Joey went to change his shirt and wash his hands - at Jennifer's request upon spotting his dirty shirt. "Lunch, and then you 2 can ride," Jennifer said as she led Sunny to the smallest paddock to stretch. "He looks good, but right now sandwhiches sound good." 20 minutes later the 2 kids were in the ring. Justin was perched on a shetland that Jennifer had brought out (a lesson pony named Jackie) and Joey was on Sunny.
