Let's say the team 'costs' $420,000. If you had seven owners, for instance, then each 'share' would be $60,000. So, to be an equal part owner, you'd have to come up with $60,000. That part's done.
So, they can have all the kids they want...buy all the houses they want for that growing family...and they don't get to get a refund. And if the team is bankrupt, then no owner having a small family is going to fix that.

This team is in a really good spot right now. The league is in a WONDERFUL position right now. This is the number one right choice for this area, right now. It's something they should have done two years ago, instead of trying to come back into the ECHL.
There's no more transition, really. It's a group of new owners...bringing a hockey team in here in a league. Same as right after the storm. As soon as there's a name, they're going to prepare for a season, just like before. Doesn't that make sense? This isn't some completely different body...it's a hockey league. It's not a different game...it's a hockey game. We're not starting a ballet league or whatever with no idea what to expect. We've done this before...twice.

If you put down a deposit last season...while Coach Walby was already the coach and GM, and Bill Yates was the President, and all the same people were in the office and all the same people were in the stands, what's the problem now?
I would imagine that people are apprehensive about a name change and league change, right?
But in order for the team to be successful, despite what we're calling it, it has to have support. People deciding that it's not hockey enough for them unless its called "Seawolves" or in the ECHL...that's what's going to doom the team. People NOT coming because it's not the same as before is really a mistake. You want the owners to disregard the ticket sales and make sure every expense is handled, fine, but no owner of any business can be expected to continue producing a product no one is buying. Enough people stop coming, they'll have no reason to go into their own pockets. If fans would be reasonable, there will be no reason they'd need to.
This is professional hockey played by a bunch of guys who love their jobs. We're going to see a good game and if we'd just relax and realize that it's not a negative change, we'll have all the same fun we had before.
