If you are a true hockey fan, like I am, it was a no-brainer when they called me and asked if I wanted to transfer my 2 Sea Wolves season tickets to the new SPHL team? I gave them a resounding, YES. I've never seen an SPHL game. I assume that the overall skill level will probably not be as high as the overall skill level in the ECHL. The overall skill level, or lack of effort, from the teams of our last 2 years was very disappointing for me to watch. The first nine seasons before the storm we fielded a competitive team each season. The last 2 seasons the teams were really not competitive in the ECHL. I don't know if the overall skill level of the teams was not high enough to be competitive or that the some of the players lacked the character to produce 100% effort every time they stepped out on the ice. Either way, it was a recipe for disaster! Let's get behind this new team and give it our support. Single A hockey is better than no hockey at all.
