AMEN, Sister. When we seen them (the mother/son set), we usually run the other way. It's downright embarrassing to hear them talk to players. I have deliberately interrupted her at times just to get the player off the hook and a chance to get away from her, and for other fans to talk to the player.
And OMG, does she really have to tell everyone that she had surgery, what kind, and how much weight she lost????

There's also a creepy guy who brings pucks to the game, then goes up to players and gives them the pucks, claiming they were pucks the players got goals with! He's also a huge cigarette bum. He quit asking us after we told him "You want to smoke? Go buy your own! Or pay me $5 for one."

Ok, we stay and talk to the guys and S/O, too.(Truthfully, it's mostly to just wait out the traffic jams-really!) But we usually talk about other stuff not related to hockey, a little congrats if the got a goal or did something exceptional, and a few questions if we didn't understand completely what happened.
So I guess we're guilty, too. But I do not think we fall into that catagory with the mother/son set. Please, tell me noooooooooooooo!
