Thanks for posting the math. I was thinking all that stuff but didn't have my brain all organized like yours. Another reason I like having season tickets is that I don't like people expecting me to blow off a game because they think their event is more important. "Yeah, I know you can ONLY watch that movie that day, but I've had these tickets for 8 months, and that's game night," is what I say.
I think it also shows dedication in a very public way. For instance, if all the right people up at the top heard that the Seawolves were selling thousands of season tickets (wouldn't that be nice), maybe the guarantee of huge crowds would make having the team in the colliseum a more attractive prospect. Surely they won't mind 8 thousand wallets walikng into the colliseum a couple of times a week for some $9 nachos.
