From the front office at the Sea Wolves (I copied this from another forum)- Someone in the front office was asked to provide 'official' info about the ECHL issue and if we'd have a team or not next year. The response posted there:

"At this time the Sea Wolves have not renewed their membership to play in the
ECHL during the 2009-2010 season. The Mississippi Sea Wolves ownership
group is pursuing opportunities to keep professional hockey in South
Mississippi in several capacities, including the ECHL."

They still have until the June meeting to decide to stay in the ECHL or not. Former Season Ticket Holders (AND New ones) sending their deposits in would help them figure out if they can make payroll or pay for the ice time.
As for corporate advertising, it would be nice if some of these casino's would cough up a little help. Lord knows, they sure get plenty of cash from local and visiting fans alike.
I checked into dasher signs last year. They were $7,500 for two! Couldn't afford that and stay in business, too. But there are some very wealthy businesses on this Coast that they could ask for sponsorship.
Also, I think they should try harder to get the casino's to market our team to visitors as something else to do while here besides gamble, play golf, and lay on the beach or play in that filthy water. But that is up to the Sea Wolves Marketing Staff (HINT, HINT!) Start now and get some deals in writing to carry to the next board of Governor's meeting and then we'll find out.
BTW, if the Wolf Pack, LLC goes belly up, do we get our money back? Just curious as my business didn't survive, but luckily it was formed as an LLC so no one can touch our personal assets, only the business ones..of which there are none left. So the phone company had to stop harassing me for breaking the contract because the LLC was legally dissolved. But if the SW dissolve, they will have our money and I don't know if they will legally have to give it back after paying off past due bills with it.
Anyone know more, please comment.
I JUST WANT MY LIVE HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!
