Subject: reunion

My husband had his 50th high school reunion less than a month ago. The first event of the 2-day reunion was a picnic/barbecue from 11 a.m. till around 3 p.m. at the beautiful home of one of his classmates. The informal outdoor atmosphere gave people a chance to mingle and move from friend to friend much more easily than a restaurant or hall setting. There wasn't music playing that you had to talk above either. Later in the reunion they hosted several tours as well as drinks and dinner at a restaurant. These are fine activities, but the picnic/bbq was a great ice-breaker and chance to talk easily. Hope we can do someting similar.
