Subject: Well, because I haven't got your background knowledge of the original storylines etc KatieGirl, I took this episode at face value and still enjoyed it, thought there was more depth coming to each of the characters....but did think *some* of the editing to be a little choppy so maybe there was more filmed and was "butchered" thereby losing much of what we actually needed to see. So you obviously feel far too much is being condensed into these 8 episodes, and that we actually miss out on a lot?? This is why we need a subsequent season, with more than 8 episodes too...there is SO much to unfold about this family and ABC needs to do it justice IMO. I've already taken a look at the OF website to try to get some background knowledge...a bit confusing until you become familiar with the changed names...LOL
In reply to: Katiegirl (that soapbox has been well used this week) 's message, "Episode 7: Haven't liked this as much as the others, also made the mistake of reading the other boards before coming here so am really in the mood to say 'I told you so'. Don't think they are going to deviate from the storylines too much, my problem is more that there are some essential components missing to get you to understand it properly. I would recommend finding somewhere where you can hire the original on DVD, just to understand your characters a little better." on 19:26:54 08/09/10 Mon
