OMG -- I just saw an ORIGINAL Gary Cooper film from his very early days -- it was even dubbed in Italian (it was on very late at night on some obscure channel here) and I think the movie was "A Farewell To Arms" which, if I recall, Rock Hudson starred in a re-make of this film. Anyway -- I thought IMMEDIATELY of DJE as I observed GCs smoldering, but innocent-boy looks. I know what you mean about Clark Gable, but a re-make of GWTW would be so radical as it's the quintessential film that should NEVER be re-done. DJE would be perfect in that role!! He's got the looks, the humour, the intensity and the manliness! LOL! -- DJE Fans Speak
