Subject: I just keep remembering DJE stating once when he was asked about appearing on NCIS, "That will never happen." I don't think he would even give it a thought for a second.

[> Just a personal opinion - but I think it would be a disaster for David to take on a role in NCIS. All the other characters are now too well developed for him to find a prominent niche there. Also the rumour was for a new character in his 30's so it would probably be a fairly junior role.
