My child is old enough now to know the score and continues to compete to show off their own talent. They know when they deserve better and who is undeserved, and they have developed a thick skin. It’s not what I want for them, but they choose to continue because they enjoy dancing. Also, let’s put it into perspective, these tin and plastic trophy’s mean nothing to anyone outside of ID. The ID world is the small pond and the muppets trading favours to get places for their kids are an embarrassment. Let the kids dance and laugh at the bullsh*t and forget the resukts, everyone knows that only 30% of the recall is based on talent at any feis or major.
