Because it is common knowledge. It has been done this way since it older half and younger half and dancers would have the same split year after year. Now it is luck of the draw. You must be a newbee (NT) -- Ds, 14/06/25 3:02:21, Sat
- It was fine hot years with A split Jan 1 to June 15. B split June 16 to Dec 31 (NT) -- Oldie, 14/06/25 17:00:05, Sat
  - This system was changed because many age-groups ended up with the majority of top dancers in one split or the other year after year. Now it is luck of the draw and varies each year (NT) -- Ds, 15/06/25 0:32:40, Sun
