Subject: Why are we not following GDPR?

Reading the awful messages about LITTLE CHILDREN that we, yes we, our community, are posting below with disgust in my heart and mind. We are not meant to know so much about the lives of little children. We should not be following every result as if it’s the Olympic standings. These are our babies- and we are putting ALL OF THEIR information online- sharing every win, every defeat, every little point earned or not earned in a competition. We see their new costumes, their wig styling, their pictures all of the time. This is not normal and we need to start calling it out. Why are we so obsessed with other people’s children? If we started to collectively follow GDPR regulations like other organisations, we would be taking one big step to curtailing this awful bullying and unhealthy attention that we are paying to literal CHILDREN. We need to do better and we should start demanding more privacy protections from CLRG. We are doing untold mental harm to children and their families- and for what? To make ourselves feel bigger, to make ourselves feel better? No. Not anymore. I am urging every parent to speak to their teachers on this. We know now what happens to children when they are objectified. It ends now. CLRG, FOLLOW GDPR!
