Subject: What if..there were add-on marks for difficulty level in championships at major comps.

One separate judge assigned to gauge difficulty level.

Let's say difficulty level is marked out of 5 per dance.
Heavy round winner's raw score of 96 plus 5 for difficulty(if they have challenging steps) becomes 101...its a grid mark of 100 regardless OR let's say it stays at 96 with 3 /5 for difficulty and 2nd place dancer's raw score 94 shoots up to 99 with higher difficulty level
...now they are tied 1st winners of this round.

What do we think?It comes up on the board quite a bit-mechanical dancers getting super high scores with a dance that is pretty basic.

Maybe it's time that changed so teachers are challenged to produce the same level of technique with more diversity in choreography.
