We can found many differences between the Brazilian and the American values. One of them is about the freedom. In my opinion, we also value the freedom, but the self-reliance is not so important to us, especially because the Brazilian families like to have their children near to them. I think we are more cooperative people, we prefer continue living with our parents and have more comfort together. It is in our culture, it’s common to get married and look for a house close to our family’s house, we want to be always in contact with them. We value the work and the money, but we also value the group; the American people are more individualist.
