Char Bah is a woman who wanted to join her family again. She`s a niger whose relatives were slaves. And, as slaves were sold, they could change their surnames to the name of the owners they belonged to. Trough the `journey` of finding information she had the help of the memories their older relatives used to tell. She found lots of information, as the price given to her slaves relatives, for example. In the end, she felt that finding out about her family made her very proud of her ancestors because they were brave and tried tremendously to survive and helped her to live better now.
