Nos dizemos:
A traditional celebration in my city is called "Semana Santa". It comes right after Carnival. Actually, it comes 40 days at the end of carnival, and people go to church and pray for seven days. After seven days of visiting their churches, they can start doing their usual activities again, because during those forty days Prior (before), they had stopped doing something they liked as a way to pay for their sins.
