Synopsis of Planning and Zoning Meeting 2-18-2019

The meeting started on time. All members present with the exception of Dan Gaddis and Jackie Pena.

First item on the agenda was a plat amendment. I will make this really short and to the location. It is the property behind the Dollar Tree and other stores in that building. Currently, trucks dropping off supplies for these stores have to park out front and dolly the products to the back. The owner of this property is trying to accomplish is buying part of back yard of a couple of homes that face Ohio Garden to give them enough room to back the big rigs to the back of the stores, which they currently can't do now. Everything is not finalized yet with the home owners, but upon approval by city council and the owners, the zoning board voted to allow this plat amendment change.

Next item was to get members up to date on the open meetings training. Only two members present at the meeting haven't received this training.

Last item on the agenda was to plan a work shop date. March 23rd 8am at the community center to discuss and plan what direction this board and apparently other boards are going to be involved in this meeting, which is why its being moved to the community center.

Also stated at the meeting, there will have to be another Zoning Board meeting to discuss a special use permit. Marvin was not at liberty to discuss what the special use permit is at this time.
