Subject: Candidate Forum Concern

It has been brought to my attention that at the candidate forum a council person not running for re-election is making a presentation on the proposed charter amendments. Wouldn't make more sense for the candidate in attendance to give their positions on these issues? I would think the two candidates currently serving should be willing to state their positions on these issues and not have a someone else come in who is not running for office. I have heard this forum was put together at the last minute and I appreciate all involved who help put this together and appreciate the city council has decided to make these forums annual event if needed.

It has been stated that the city has no involvement with this forum so I see no reason for the city to be there promoting their charter amendments. This is about the candidates and the citizens who have questions of them concerning the future of our city.
