Miss India Universe Ekta Choudhary is now ready for Miss
Universe pageant to be held on August 23 2009.The pageant
will be held at Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
She will be one of the 75 contestants from different parts
of the globe.The greatest fashion designer Ritu Kumar is
designing Choudhary’s outfits. She will carry 40 dresses for
the month-long pageant at the Bahamas where the finale is
scheduled for August 23. The 22 years old Delhi beauty Exta
Choudhary was crowned Pantaloons Femina ‘Miss India
universe’ in 2009.The very talented and confident black eyed
beauty stands tall at 5′9 and her Weights 55.5kg.She was
born in Baghdad, Iraq. Her father was worked as a civil
engineer on the once-despot’s palaces and hotels. Her
father, remained in Iraq until the start of the American
invasion. She was returned to India when she was three years
old. She did her education at the ‘Modern School’ at
Barakhamba road, Delhi.

Ekta is a Classical Dancer and trained Bharatnatyam in nine
years. Her another classical experience are Odissi and
Kathak.She is al so learning oils,tie & die, block printing,
stained glass paintings, etc. India has not won this title
since 2000 when Lara Dutta won the crown. Now, all eyes will
be on Ekta Choudhary when she will represent India at this
years beauty pageant.
