Twenty-four-year-old Amy Diaz is the winner of Miss USA
Earth 2009. The beauty queen who graduated cum laude from
Barry University with the degree of Broadcast Journalism
will be representing USA at the 9th edition of the Miss
Earth pageant in Manila, Philippines later this year.

Amy is a veteran of beauty pageants. She was Miss Rhode
Island 2008 and went on to compete at the Miss USA 2008
where she made the Top 15. She also competed at the Miss
Florida USA 2007 where she placed third runner-up. But prior
to these two pageants, Amy was already a Miss Rhode Island
Teen USA in 2001. She represented Rhode Island at The Miss
Teen USA 2001.
