The Best National Costume Award was given this year to Miss
Panama, Diana Broce, whose representation of the Panamanian
“Diablo de Portobelo” turned out to be a hit among the panel
of judges.

In 2nd place was the costume of Miss Nicaragua, Indiana
Sanchez, and in 3rd place was Miss Thailand, Chutima
Durongdej.

Although the Costume competition had been held last Monday
at the Wyndham Theatre, the results were announced during
Thursday’s Charity Auction.

This marks the third time Panama wins this award, the other
times being 1986 and 2004.
