My grandfather Sargent Peter J.Harold served in the Black Watch during World War I. He died in 1936 before I was born. As a child my grandmother told me of a book of Regimental names that was kept in Edinburgh Castle. She said his name is in the book. His daughter, my aunt also traveled to Edinburgh many years ago and also said she got to see the book and his name. My grandmother and aunt are no longer with us. Does such a book exist and if so how do I research it. Thank you for any assistance in this matter
Sincerely,
Peter J Harold III
