The petite maiden had not yet returned to Hopeful Valley the home she had known all her life. She had been in and out of that place with her mother for so many years she couldn't count. But she could not return.. not yet. She knew Starlight was already there but she wasn't sure she could bring herself to go back into her mother's shadow. Everything was always about the past with Starlight. She could not bring herself out of it. And it was a past that Maiden knew nothing about. But the time she had been born the past was just that, past. It was gone. She never really knew her father or her brother or her sister. She didn't know any of her mother's old friends aside from Moonlight but she felt as if she knew them intimately. Because that is all her mother ever spoke of. Black Diamond, Fire Cry, Shadowed Flames, Katie, Basil, Flurry, Raging Fire, and on and on. So she did not go back instead she wandered her into the Meadow and spied a large black stallion alone. Making a quick decision she let her long legs carry her forward towards the massive brute. "Hello." |
