Craig had been out Running, as he did most nights he wasn't working. Hell some nights he Ran after work as well... Being a werewolf and a bouncer could get a bit hairy at times, no pun intended. But tonight he ran for the thrill and the exhilaration of the Run... Maybe he would hunt, maybe he would just terrorize some poor creature, maybe even a human...
His ears lay flat against his massive skull as he raced through the forest, claws dinging deep into the moist soil. Humans commonly confused his tpaw prints for bear tracks, though any moron who knew what a bear track looked like knew better. It made them feel better to be able to write his prints off as a harmless bear, not a dangerous werewolf. And he was one of those to be feared by humans...
His wolf had long ago given up trying to blend in with the crowd, instead he had begin lashing out. Craig had a rap sheet a mile long, and the only work he could find to keep himself fed was doing what he did best, intimidating people.
Sliding to a halt, he lifted his brown muzzle, breathing deep to find the scent that had tickled his nose. Ah, there. Blood, and fresh. Baring his teeth in a wolfish grin, he turned towards the smell, following it to a small clearing where a midnight form feasted on the corpse of a freshly felled deer. Mmm, an easy meal. Surely only a loner would be out hunting alone this close to the city. Any member of a pack would never hunt alone... Nor would they risk the pack by hunting so near their home.
Slowly, he made his way into the clearing, moving cautiously at first, trying to hide his approach. But he knew that was pointless, even a wolf would know to be wary around a kill, and a were was much smarter than its simple cousin. When the female finally noticed his approach, he lifted his bushy tail over his back, raising his head in a dominant fashion. He wanted some of that kill, and though she was built a bit thicker than his lean form... Well he was willing to bet that deer, he was quicker than she...
He continued to approach the kill, angling for the corpses head and neck. He didn't care enough to run her off, but she was Running on his land, and she would share with him!
I put the pedal to the metal as the sun goes down. Leave everybody sleepin in this sleepy town, tonight And at the break of day, I'll be a runaway!
