He didn't pay attention to her clucking at first, still playing at being angry with her, though one of his ears did turn in her direction at the sound. However, curiosity won the better of the young zorse and he turned to see if she actually had something. His ears pricked up a bit farther, spying the apple with obvious interest. He nickered as he walked over, forgiving her earlier transgression of no treat. With no hesitation, he approached and nosed her hand, using his lips to try and take the apple slice from her. He was close enough for her to touch his mane, run her hand down part of his back, and certainly to grab his halte; the little one had no fear of humans at all.
