Hey buddy how you doing? It sure was good to see your post. Hope you had a successful time awat trip you had to take.
Yeah, I guess you could say the whole team had an "off" night last Friday in the 21-7 loss. I could kick myself for dropping those passes from Sean as I know it could have maybe been the difference in the game for TD's and a possible win.
I wasn't to surprised Coach, as you say 'verbal spanked" me for my lack on contribution. I messed up and in a way as he was "getting in my face" felt kind of good it was happening as a wake-up. I know Coach needed to relieve some emotional pressure for a sounding board and if Sean I helped him "let loose" they it was could that I got my butt chewed out.
I didn't mean to let that homecoming vote destract me. I guess while paying the football game my mind went back and forth, which was a STUPID thing to let happen. I should have done like I like to tell others for advice, STAY FOCUSSED IN THE GAME, but I sure did. At least the after game bet loss paddling I got with the team helped. Sure it hurt, but while I was getting my swats I knew I deserved them! I know the guys had to think "things" about Sean and me not getting those points we should have. I wished they would have chewed my butt out too, but everyone looks at it we are this all together and its a team loss.
Distractions, yeah on the one offense play the other team did caused our WHOLE defensive line to jump off sides and they get a needed first down. GEEZE!
Rubbing sore butts? Still some, but whatever condition my butt will be in Friday I'm ready to put it on the line. It's the HOMECOMING GAME and everyone wants to win those, but this is a conference league game and we need for the race for the conference lst place title which is up for grabs with every team.
YES! Gotcha, won't let being a member of the homecoming court distract my mind in trying to get the job done. Game face on for all FOUR QUARTERS, STAY FOCUSED, and when I get the ball and see the endzone down the stretch after getting the ball from Sean I get my butt down and score 6 points!
I'm glad now I didn't turn down the homecoming honor. Yeah, can't let the people down who voted for me and thought I deserved the honor, even if all I have to show for school years is sports. YEah, sour grapes on the "click group" their sore because they didn't get another one of their people to win the court honor position.
I wished that whoever his chosen the KING is not someone from the "click group" which would show them. Be cool if it was Kyle, don't you think?
Hey Steve, we have a big prep rally Friday afternoon to end the week in school activities. Each day has a different theme, had weird hat day, weird clothes day, and at the rally they have contests with next prizes and the the winners help to win points for your class to see who is top in the school. They had a float making contest, but with football practices, etc. most of us guys didn't get involved.
At the rally Kyle, Sean, Dustin and I have entered the pie eating contest for us seniors, have to have hands/arms behind your back and eat a creak pie the fastest against others in grades. Luke, Jason, and John off the team are doing it for the juniors. Should be fun.
A new event is for contestants of each grade 9-12 ride oversize tricycles in a race. The guys in my class thought since my butt is kinda small (Geeze) that I would be a perfect candidate and sit comfortable on the bikes seat and be able to peddle fast to try to win. There's afew other guys from our class, Sean is giiving it a shot, Kyle is chickening out (whoose) and for the llth grade Luke is going for it as his butt is small too, so we'll see who crosses the finishline. Probably someone from 9th or l0th who might be small in size to sit good on the bke seat. It will be fun and prizes!
Because of the pre-game football warmups Sean, Kyle, Dustin and I will miss being in the homecoming parade that goes through town before the game and ends up on the football field. Doesn't matter, got to get our game faces on and get out butts prepared to get a win.
I will enjoy at halftime have my folks escort me across the football field.I think they will have more fun then I, but I'm accepting the honor, don't get me wrong. Can't have Kyle pound my butt for don' doing it. Geeze, I can still feel that hard slap on my buttcheek he gave me before I told him I could get my mind together and accept the honor on the court. He was serious about pounding me.
I think he might be serious about taking your advise to give me a good ass tanning to help remind me NOT to mess up in the game and let homecoming honors come first and not playing the game first. He hasn't said he wouldn't when I asked him.
Should I start buttrubbing ahead of Steve?
