My pleasure, Joel. Glad I could be an encouragement to you these last few days. I am sure Rick feels pretty bad and I hope you aren't too angry with him. (Remember that he said that he didn't think Kyle's dad would paddle you.). I hope he feels better.

Now, forgiveness doesn't mean there can't be consequences. One consequence for Kyle that I would propose is that for the remainder of your team's season, under NO circumstances should Kyle be allowed to swat your butt. Also, if Kyle is the loser in any of those bets, I hope your teammates will graciously allow you to deliver them to Kyles ass and they should be laid on him extra hard and heavy. If Kyle complains about any of this being "unfair", the rest of you should stand together and remind Kyle that what "wasn't fair", was the paddling that his dad gave you and the comments directed at you as you were leaving last Thursday not to mention the way he has been shooting his mouth off to the rest of the team and these are the consequences of his actions.

I am sure that you are mulling over whether or not to tell your dad what Kyle's dad did the other night. I was going to withhold comment and leave it up to you but, given Kyle's behavior in the aftermath and the fact that he has been shooting his mouth off about it, I am compelled to advise you to tell him. Kyle's bragging increases the likelihood that one of your teammates might tell him and I believe it would be better if your dad heard it from you. You can take your "support team" along with you if you wish.

One final note. You said Kyle laughed when you gave him that swat after yesterday's game. Thinking back to some of the spankings that I used to get from my mom, there were times when I laughed at her too. It seemed to get her pissed off at me even more. Just curious about your feelings when Kyle did that to you.
