Hi Bill,

Got some time to kill before leaving for the Wooden Bat Tournamen this morning so, I thought I would answer your left message. Good to hear from you.

Sorry to hear your Mom will not be home for Mother's Day. If she needs extra care/therapy at a nursing home then it is best to follow the doctors' orders. You can spend Mother's Day with her just the same.

I learned earlier this year about following doctors' orders and almost got my butt paddled by my dad for not doing so, when I was in the hospital a couple of times, and even my Mom made sure I knew to follow orders and slapped my butt some swats at the hospital. I posted about this in the Forum!

My Moms' parents arrived last night for the weekend and my dads' folks are on their way, so Mother's Day weekend will be special and first we have the Wooden Bat Tournament to play and they can enjoy to watch. My maternal grandparents have never seen me play baseball, so I hope they have fun!

I'm going to have fun and all of the team is, we talked about it at practice with our coaches and later among ourselves! Win or lose the tournament, it is something different to hit baseballs with wooden bats instead of the metal ones we usually do! The wooden bats are special, coaches sent and got real used ones from major league teams!

Luke's little butt is back to normal, pretty much now, so he better play good baseball and slide when he's suppose to. In Thursday's game he played with a sore butt after getting the paddling a few hours earlier and that was a real test for him, especially pants, sliding pants, etc. rubbing against his sore butt. I know what he went through as I took a paddling from Coach before a game and man it is uncomfortable!

I have no problem with buddies/friends having their kids call their dad/mom's friends "uncle". I've done that a few times with some friends of my mom and dad and they are like real family to me!

Did you "ground" Luke? His dad didn't. He just usually paddles him and he's free to go. Luke was grounded last Fall on a Saturday and "talked" his dad into giving him a trade of a paddling to come to an unscheduled Saturday afternoon Football practice I put together when our team was getting some losses we should have gotten.

That is kinda cool spelling for the grandson baby, Jaxon, instead of the usual spelling Jackson. How old is he now?

Hope everyone has a great visit!

Suggestion Bill, have someone take some pictures with a camera of the baby and your Mom together to preserve this special moment/visit. In years to come you'all will be glad you did, including Jaxon to have later in life. Not everyday a great-grandson can have photo take with great-grandma!

Glad you have "worked out" your brothers' sucide, but you are RIGHT it was selfish of him to do what he did, but maybe he wasn't think what effect it was going to have on family!

I would never want to commit suicide. I would be scared to, have to much to live for and know I would be hurting my parents and other family members and friends!

I had a young friend who accidentally committed suicide, "so-called" friends at school were calling him short, when he was normal size for his age, so he decided to stretch himself taller with a rope and accidentally hung himself! When I heard about his death it effected me bad, and it stayed in my mind to not make fun or other guys who are short. I know my bosy is not perfect, guys have made fun of me and I try to over look it!

Do I think the cop was justified in tasering the stupid l7yr. old running onto the baseball Cardinal/Philly field? Yes, I do! That kid had to be running all over the place, how would they catch him in other ways?

You mentioned that kid was same age as me, l7. I had my l8th birthday on Feb. l9, 2010. No need to apologize to me, you didn't know!

Better close for now!
