[Bill to Joel] I DID NOT say that you should ask Kyle's dad to spank you over that broken window. However, I DO think you should confront Kyle's dad about the look you see in his eyes. I think you will respect yourself more and feel better about yourself if you clear this up. Keep in mind that, in Kyle's dad's mind, you were getting a pass all those times you and Kyle were in trouble together while Kyle was the only one getting punished. This could also explain Kyle's recent conspiracy to try to get you paddled at school one last time. That said, if Kyle's dad chooses to spank you, you should take your medicine. I don't think Kyle's dad is REALLY going to hurt you. In a worst case scenario, your backside will hurt for awhile but I think you'll be OK.

[Bill to Luke & Sean] More than anything else, Joel needs to respect himself and for that reason he DOES need to confront Kyle's dad about that look in his eyes that you, Luke, alluded to. I understand your concern that if Kyle's dad decides to give Joel a whippin', which you don't even know for sure that he will do, it could affect his play in tomorrow's game. The simple solution would be for Joel to wait until after tomorrow's game to say anything.

[Bill to Rick & Dave] As senior members of this forum, I think you understand why I am encouraging Joel to talk to Kyle's dad. I don't think Joel should have to continue to endure the looks that Kyle's dad gives him. As I see it, Joel doesn't really have a choice. If I am in error, you two are free to tell me but that is my perspective.

[Bill to Joel, Sean, & Luke] Good luck in the game tomorrow.
